Pop and cracking sound when recording voiceover. (Win10)

PostFri Feb 05, 2021 5:51 pm

Hi!

I have an ASUS GA4011 laptop and when I was trying to record voice over I got this cracking/pops
in the recording which made my voiceover completely useless. I searched a lot of forums/YouTube with "Davinci Resolve-sound problems" as search term but could not find any solutions.
But, when I was searching for pop/cracking in Win10 I found a solution:
It seems that most PC,s are using "Realtek High Definition Audio driver" for the sound-card, but this suggestion was to change it to "High Definition Audio Device" instead, I did it and rebooted my computer and the problem was solved.
According to the author of that suggestion, after every Windows update, you must check that Windows haven´t changed it back to "Realtek".
