Not able to save project settings

PostFri Feb 05, 2021 6:39 pm

Hi,

I want to create a project in 720p25 but Davinci 17b8 doesn't allow me to save this setting. The "save" button is always greyed out. No matter what I set in the project settings. It allways falls back to the initial settings that I don't use at all.

Whats wrong here?

Anyone with a clue on how to set some settings in the project settings window?

Thanks and cheers

Robert

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I don't have a fix, but I do have a workaround:

1) create an "empty" project with this settings. Arrange your bins, set the config framerate, all the various session options you need.

2) save it as "720p25 Template" or a similar term.

3) Now, when you need to start a session with these settings, you just open up this empty saved project, do a Save-As with the new name of the project (like "Client_Show_Episode_no"), import your XMLs and media, and go to work.

I have not seen Save Project Settings fail before, but that should not happen. Can you recall previously-saved settings?
