ok so.. as you can see resolve doesn't play back the video. timeline 1 is marked red and the play button as well indicating that it kinda tries to play something back but is just stuck. i can press space and the playbutton stops being red again, so it didn't freeze or something. it's the same with simple jpgs so it's definitely not a video codec issue at least. i recently switched the sequence of my screens. maybe it has something to do with that. every screen is plugged into a different gpu. one of them is in the motherboard's one, Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, the other one in a Radeon (TM) RX 480 Graphics. I also use an audio interface called Tascam US-122 L but i don't think it's the issue as it worked with it before and they didn't release new audio drivers for ages. Any ideas?

In a File Explorer window, go to:

In the Resolve Help menu, select "Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop".

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

If you are a new Forum user, you may not be allowed to post URLs. If this happens, just put a space near the front of the URL, so the system doesn't think it's a URL.

A very common source of problems is when people plug an monitors into onboard video, particularly when it's Intel graphics.

BM often tell people to make sure all monitors are connected to the more powerful GPU.

here are the requested files:

htt ps://we.tl/t-HOWGmcCegC

and yes, this really seems to be because of the sequence of my screens. however i need to have them this way around so that OBS can detect both screens, so if this is not solvable software-wise I need to plug around the screens everytime I wanna record or edit stuff. Not a terrible issue, but would be smooth to fix it

Both displays need to be connected to the RX480 card for Resolve to properly work. This is not going to change.

That's strange. I have played with OBS a bit and it has no problems with any of my 3 monitors, all are plugged into the 1080ti (which is my only GPU). I wonder why it would be different with your system.
