When can I buy it?

PostFri Feb 05, 2021 9:13 pm

Hi, I have been using the free version for a couple of years, and recently where I work got a grant to cover some video equipment etc. so I thought it'd be the perfect time to purchase the Studio version...

The problem? All the online retailers are backordered because of the bundling of Studio 17 and the speed editor. Does anyone know when this will actually be available? I'm kind of in a hurry before the money dries up or gets reallocated.

It might help if you say where in the world you are.

But it's a problem for many people. If you aren't in a hurry beyond the concern about the funds disappearing, you could buy it and wait for the back order.

Ohio, USA. I have ordered it, but it's in backorder purgatory, for several weeks now...

They don't charge you until it ships, and there's no expected date for that.

Doesn't anyone else think this is kind of crazy? I just want to purchase the studio version...

It's more than kinda crazy.

Resolve Studio and nVidia 3000 cards - nowhere to be seen.

I suppose it's good for the companies to have such demand. Not so much for us customers.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Well it makes sense that 3000 series are out of stock due to scalpers, makes less sense that you can't buy the studio version of resolve anywhere.
