No. But be VERY sure that you BACKUP your existing databases before installing Resolve 17.
After you install 17, it will ask you to Upgrade your database(s). Once you let it do that, those projects can no longer be used in 16.
So it's very important to backup the database(s) before letting 17 Upgrade them, in case you have a need to get back to 16 with those projects.
Of course, you should also already have project export .drps for any in progress/important projects.
