DR 17b Cropping Not Working as Intended

I've searched and searched and can't for the life of me figure out the answer to this question. Whenever I crop a certain part of a video, then layer it on top of other videos, the rest of the video outside of the cropped area still shows up even though I've cropped it. I have followed videos on youtube, and checked out the forums, but still to no avail I can't find an answer. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong... Anyone able to assist?

Seems like this issue didn't get fixed while in BETA
I have 17.2 and just installed 17.2.1 hoping it would fix the issue.
In inspector cropping section, the 'Crop bottom' actually crops the top of the clip (this is h.264 high L3.1 from a tablet not flipped or changed in any other way pre import)
when using the crop top it crops the bottom of the video clip. the transform box moves as expected to reflect what is done with the sliders, but the video image doesn't reflect what the box is doing.

Working properly here. Pic shows bottom cropped and you can see I have only moved the Crop Bottom slider. Footage is H.264 High L4.2. I can only get it to behave like yours if I vertically flip the image.

In answer to the original post, here I have cropped the video on V2 and positioned it using the Transform controls. As you can see it works with no problems in 17.2.1 free version on Windows.
