Render In Place on Clips With Same Name Causes Duplications

PostSat Feb 06, 2021 11:51 pm

In the timeline on the edit page, when I use Render in Place on more than one clip at a time, AND those clips have the same name, it only renders the first clip and then replaces each successive instance with the same name with the first rendered clip. So, for example, if you take a long clip and chop it up into pieces and you want to render in place more than one segment of it, you have to render them one at a time. If you don't, instead of having each individual section rendered correctly, it'll be replaced by the first rendered segment. This is very clearly visible if you have Show Duplicate Frames on because it highlights all the duplicates.
