USB Connected Speed Editor Keyboard Not Working

PostSun Feb 07, 2021 12:18 am

Hi guys,
[Win10]

Anyone having the following issue where I have a USB Connected Speed Editor keyboard that seemed to be detected by Resolve Studio 17b8 (I can see it listed in Davinci Control Panels Setup) but doesn't function at all in Cut/Edit Page.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w9G-Fb ... p=drivesdk

No lights would come on, tried holding down the buttons, charging overnight (laptop 65W charger). Jog wheel doesn't work. None of the buttons triggers anything.

Windows 10 is picking up the USB device, but Resolve doesn't seem to see it despite it being listed in Davinci Control Panel. I can't see speed editor listed in Prefrerences's Control Panels section like other posters.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1THEHit ... p=drivesdk

Tried uninsta//reinstall everything.

Do you think I have a faulty unit? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steven

Can you try it on a different system? This would verify that the keyboard itself is bad (which is possible).

I've found that activating the SE controls (jog wheel, usually) while the "Looking For Control Surfaces" message is displayed during Resolve startup seems to wake up the connection. Bluetooth, in my case.

Good point - my Speed Editor, which works fine under Beta 8, is connected via USB.

Mine didn't work on first boot, but I did unplug it and re-plug it and it worked, however wireless does not work now for some reason, but I mainly use it wired anyway.

Of the 3 units we purchased, one was behaving as you describe.

Tested on multiple machines and we're sending it back.

Try another machine and if it's still deadybones call your supplier.
