Fairlight - Change Bussing Mode?

PostMon Feb 08, 2021 4:15 am

Is it possible to somehow change a legacy project from fixed bussing to adaptive bussing? Can I somehow create a new project, and then import the old one, or something? Thanks in advance.

Depends on the complexity of the Project and the extent to which the source Project should be retained. There will always be a compromise with potentially little gain over working in the legacy format.

With Dynamic Project Switching enabled, copying and pasting audio media between the Fixed Bus source Fairlight Timeline to the Flexi Bus destination Timeline is possible.

For more extensive transfer of the Fairlight Timeline consider an AAF export from the Media Pool or via one of the Deliver Presets.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
