"checking Licence"

PostMon Feb 08, 2021 12:45 am

I am super excited about the Resolve 17 update and have upgraded everytime the new beta was launched I updated Resolve 17 beta 8 yesterday. It installed fine but does not start. it sayy "checking Licence" and gets stuck. I have 2 licences of Resolve. one is a dongle that I got with the Production camera and the other is the Key that came with the BMPCC4K. I tried both. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Beta 8 couple of timesand even reinstalled the decklink 4K but no luck. I finally had to go back to Beta 7. please help as I am waiting to get my hand on the beta 8. Thanks

I've seen a few reports of the activation server having some troubles. Maybe try again?

Although, that wouldn't affect the use of a dongle, so...I don't know.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I was excited about beta 9 as my beta 8 didnt work. I happily upgraded to Resolve 17 beta 9 today and had the same issue. it runs but once I install decklink 4K and film convert plugin it doesnt work. it says checking licence. I even formated my system am and did a fresh windows install. no luck. I cannot work without the decklink 4K installed so cant run the beta 9. what wrong am I doing. I have a USB dongle and also a serial key that I got with my BMPCC 4K. Please help.

Latest downloads 21st January - Desktop Video 12 firmware update. Adds support for ver17 beta. NOT sure if this is the issue as I don't run that hardware but worth a look:
