Multiple audio tracks in video clips

PostSun Feb 07, 2021 5:33 pm

Hi, I'm a newbee in working with Davinci Resolve and I am discovering all the features. I installed the software on 2 different computers. Now I see that, when I drag videoclips from the media pool to the timeline, the software creates 6 audio tracks with each clip on one of the computers while the software does not do it on the other computer. As far I can tell the settings and preferences are the same on both computers. Can anyone tell me why multiple audio tracks are created and how I can switch that off? I searched the manual and this forum and watched several tutorials but I did not find the answer. Hopefully someone can help me? Thnx in advance!

As a new user, your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly. ;)

I would suggest hitting Yutube and asking questions on the most appropriate ones. People tend to help there.
The training guides might help but they are written in the same vein as the manual.

I actually find the training manuals a more gentle gradient than the full manual. Paul (the author) really holds our hands and provides some excellent step-by-step directions for many things.
