fcpxml not importing correctly? weird sound issue -

PostMon Feb 08, 2021 9:12 am

I'm new to resolve, i used 16 a little bit before trying V17. However a colleague sends me FCPXML files for trying some editing, those used to import just fine into V16. Now in V17, -some parts- have weird (much slower) sound.
I have this on my PC, but he is having the same on his Mac after importing (also with V17)

It's not the video file, as some parts of the same file can be fine in one place, and after a cut have the too slow, glitchy and spatially also deformed sound.

don't remember V16 had any of this.

It's not a time pressure job for me but i thought i'd report it, especially because it's a problem on Mac and PC

// In addition, files exported as fcpxml from my premiere have the same problem when imported, and also have the frame size of some clips set to 50% for unknown reason..

I tried again in beta 9, it's still not solved there. A bit frustrating as it means transferring Premiere (or final cut) files over to DaVinchi Resolve isn't really possible yet.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

Some parts of the same video file can sound very odd, while others play o.k. Can't find any difference between them (like some applied affect) in the editing programs they are exported from.

With fcpxml being the only way to move between FCP, Premiere and Resolve i hope this can be fixed.
