Windows 10 projects

PostMon Feb 08, 2021 5:11 pm

Hello , just got davinci 17 and wanted to do the projects along with the videos. Unfortunately I only have windows 10 to use now, all the files are for mac. Anyway those project files could be downloaded in Windows to go along with the tutorials on the main page of black magic website ?

The Lesson files work on all platforms. What makes you think it's for Macs?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Was looking at the file extensions and thought windows wouldn't work for it. I'm getting the "media offline" in everything when I import. working on it now. keep in mind also, been doing this for about 2 weeks and still learning here. barely got my piggy toe touching the water but I'll learn it.

Figured it out, already done 2 years ago called "Finding Tutorial Projects". apparently I didn't unzip the file before trying to restore it. Thanks.

I'm new to DR, using V17, and downloaded the Training videos and Project files. I'm also getting the Media Offline when I open a project. Yes, I did unzip the file, and I've tried placing them on my desktop, and using them unzipped on the drive I downloaded to. I've tried importing, as well as just double-clicking on the project file, still just get the Media Offline.
How can I make the project files work?

EDITED
I don't think I can get the project file to work see attachment.

By the time it took my posts to be approved and posted, I've figured out how to get the files re-linked. I've used several other video editing programs for years and I'm quite familiar with the ins and outs of editing. I just needed to find where DR's menu command for re-linking that allowed browsing/pointing to where the files are located on my system.
Thanks.

To Ron_Petersen,

Could you please point me and others on the DR menu command for re-linking downloaded training files on Windows 10 PCs? I can't find it.

Many thanks,
