BUG Power Window does not work as expected on Still transfor

PostTue Feb 09, 2021 5:44 pm

This is in Beta 8. ACES project. I haven't noticed it in earlier betas.

I have a Edit page transform creating a vertical move on a large long still. If I apply a Power window at the end of my node tree to create a vignette effect it tracks along with the vertical move instead of staying still. I consider this behavior a bug as there's no reason it should behave as if it's motion tracked.

If I apply the OFX vignette effect it behaves as expected although the effect is limited in not allowing the ellipse shape to rotate.

I would consider this working correctly.

The vignette is applied to the still, which moves. If you want the vignette to stay still and the image to move underneath, try applying the vignette to an Adjustment Clip.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
