Color match issue with Canon 5D MkII

PostTue Feb 09, 2021 7:15 pm

Hi,

I'm new here and happy to join the community.

I have an issue. I recently bought a color checker (a cheap one) because I often shoot with a BMCC 2.5K and a Canon EOS 5D MkII.

I started the edition of a project today and wanted to color match the cameras, so I used the color checker. It works perfectly on the shots done with the BMCC (Pro Res HD recorded with a video assist 3G), but I have strange issues with the shots from the Canon. The colors are more than off, I get some strange greenish image that has nothing to do with the colors... I tried to export a clip to Pro Res HD using REC709, but the result is the same. Did I miss something ?

My preferred method here is to work in ACES. I find I get great results with very little effort.

In the Introduction to the manual, there's a section called Data Levels, Color Management, and ACES to help get you going.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
