First of all thank you for all the updates in Resolve 17 Studio. I recently used used Resolve 16 after using 17 beta since it came out and realized how much it has improved the user experience. Wow! And I thought Resolve 16 was good!
I am having a few issues with Resolve 17 beta. The biggest issue is that when exporting I constantly having an issue where an export(render) will stall and while the program hasn’t crashed per se the export process has. After awhile where it is clearly not going to finish I click to stop render and while it says that it has stopped rendering it won’t let me start a new render until I quit Resolve and try again. After I reopen Resolve and without changing anything I start a new export and everything is fine. This cycle happens every third or fourth export of a project.
I am pretty good at rendering in place any complex fusion comp or heavy color grade so I don’t have anything like that being rendered out during an export and resolve never has an issue rendering anything in place. Where I see the exports fail the most is when it is rendering a title from the effects page or I have a composite in the edit page using a clip with an alpha channel on top of regular footage.
This happens consistently enough that it has to be a bug.
Let me know how I can help get any information you need. This is happening on a 2019 16” MacBook Pro. Never had this issue with Resolve 16, though admittedly I didn’t use the titles in Resolve 16 very much.
