I already made my optimized media (from UHD) for the B roll on a concert doc but now for my editing I''m finding I want to relabel these shots. Will optimized media still find them or should I remake them?
This brings up a 2nd issue:
With Proxy media I can tell right away whether I'm using the proxy or my original footage by looking at the Metadata, but I don't seem to be able to do that with Optimized Media. Is there any way to tell whether Resolve is actually using optimized media for a given shot ? I'm mostly just doing "half" quality and only going down to ProRes LT so its not obvious from the quality.
This brings up a third issue also:
Say you start editing with original footage and then decide you need optimized media quality or need say a lower quality OM. Can you make your optimized media after you've already been editing and still , have it connect ? Or maybe copy the project and remake the OM at a lower quality and still have it connect?
BTW - Thanks everybody for your help .
