Smooth cut transition on timeline in timeline stutters.

A smooth cut applied to clips in timeline plays back and renders as intended. When the same timeline is placed on a new timeline the spot where the smooth cut is applied renders and plays back with a sligth stutter.
Steps to reproduce:
In the CUT page: Join two clips with a smooth cut via the shortcut. (Confirm that the cut works on the CUT page and EDIT page). This is timeline A
Create a new timeline. This is timeline B.
Add timeline A to timeline B -> playback differs from the original cut by repeating a few (3?) frames with audio from the clip on the left side of the cut.
Render timeline A -> no stuttering or repeating of frames.
Render timeline B -> a few frames repeated on the cut.
Settings:
60 frames in footage. 60 frames on timeline. Length of Smooth cut does not seem to affect the inconsistency.
