Minor bug on Delivery page display

PostThu Feb 11, 2021 5:50 pm

Frequently I need to put a few seconds (say 5) of black at the start of a film before exporting.
I have tried doing this in several ways:
- by defining an In point on the Delivery page 5 seconds before the first clip starts
- by inserting a 5 second black Solid color before the first clip
- by inserting a 5 second blank Title before the first clip
- by inserting a 'normal clip' 5 seconds long and setting its opacity to zero

In all cases the in/Out range was selected for exporting.

If you play the timeline in the Delivery page as a review before exporting, all of the approaches above are ignored and the playback jumps to the start of the film, ignoring the 5 seconds of 'black'. Also the clip with the zero opacity is played as if the opacity is 100%.

This does not seem like helpful behaviour.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Have you tried adding a solid color, then making it a Compound Clip?
