Version 17.1 and not version 17

PostThu Feb 11, 2021 10:19 pm

Sorry to ask such a simple question but I've wasted hours on this and can't work out what I'm doing wrong...

... I have the paid version of Davinci Resolve 17 on my MacBook Air (M1) (which works even better than it does on my iMac) but I kept on getting Davinci messages saying that for better results using the M1, I should download 17.1 which I did BUT, every time I open up Davinci Resolve 17.1 it comes up and says that it's version 17 and not 17.1

What on earth am I doing wrong?

What is the version shown in the About DaVinci Resolve menu?

Aaaaaah!

It says DaVinci Resolve 17 in big orange letters but at the bottom, in much smaller letters, it says 17.1B BUILD 15

So I am actually using the 17.1 version then?

Yes. The version shown in "About DaVinci Resolve" is the actual full version and build number for whatever is currently installed.
