Font Style Changes from ''Bold'' to ''Regular'' serious bug

So I have had this issue for as long as I can remember and still exists on Resolve 17.
Please see the video below which shows what the issue. Really need a solution

Wow, that's a total mess. I don't have a solution but you have my sympathy.

Try to search if there is a bug report of this in the Resolve 17 beta sub-forum: viewforum.php?f=36 and if there isn't you could perhaps write one.

I've had problems even with the very basic Text tool in Edit page and try to avoid using it but for the simplest things. I come from a graphic design background, so clunky and unreliable text tools are a pet peeve of mine.
