1. Can you right click one of the clips without audio and find in media pool? Can you repeat that with the media pool clip to reveal in finder? Does it point to the right underlying files?
Yes, that part works. The timeline refers to valid clips and they play fine in the source viewer. In fact I just tried "find in media pool" and dragged the entire source clip into the timeline... it plays.
2. Does importing a new clip from Finder play back ok in the original timeline? If no, can you check the timeline routing - make sure something's not accidentally disconnected/soloed/muted? The source viewer indicates that the original clip audio and general audio setup seem ok, so does the same clip play back ok in a new timeline?
Yes, and also dragging a new clip into the same timeline works.
3. Can I check if you're using proxies or optimised media in that timeline? Does the disk with the cache clip folder have enough space?
There's no video in that timeline at all yet. The cache disk has 6TB free.
Edit: is it an AAF with external or embedded audio? Is it possible to have a URL to the file? Was it imported in an earlier version and updates to b9? or newly imported in b9?
Newly imported in b9, though I reverted to b8 to try it there and ran into the same issue. (I'm back on b9 now.)
I'll PM you a onedrive link.
