No audio in timelines in beta 9

With beta 9, I've lost timeline audio. It's not just the routing, because the clips in the timeline aren't showing any waveforms, even though the playback and waveforms are fine in the source viewer.

This on my ZenBook Pro Duo, with the latest nVidia Studio drivers, v 461.40.

I'm running into the same problem in beta 8 now. In an audio only timeline, the source viewer still shows me audio waveforms and plays back the audio, the timeline does neither... no waveforms, no audio, no movement in the meters.

So this is an imported audio-only AAF. The audio clips seem to be valid, but the timeline still shows no audio waveforms or plays back any audio. However, if I select one of the clips in the newly imported AAF timeline and press "f" Resolve opens up a perfectly valid audio file, complete with waveforms and playback... in the source viewer.

However in other timelines the audio in the timeline is fine, waveforms and all.

1. Can you right click one of the clips without audio and find in media pool? Can you repeat that with the media pool clip to reveal in finder? Does it point to the right underlying files?

2. Does importing a new clip from Finder play back ok in the original timeline? If no, can you check the timeline routing - make sure something's not accidentally disconnected/soloed/muted? The source viewer indicates that the original clip audio and general audio setup seem ok, so does the same clip play back ok in a new timeline?

3. Can I check if you're using proxies or optimised media in that timeline? Does the disk with the cache clip folder have enough space?

Regards
Shrinivas

Edit: is it an AAF with external or embedded audio? Is it possible to have a URL to the file? Was it imported in an earlier version and updates to b9? or newly imported in b9?

Yes, that part works. The timeline refers to valid clips and they play fine in the source viewer. In fact I just tried "find in media pool" and dragged the entire source clip into the timeline... it plays.

Yes, and also dragging a new clip into the same timeline works.

There's no video in that timeline at all yet. The cache disk has 6TB free.

Newly imported in b9, though I reverted to b8 to try it there and ran into the same issue. (I'm back on b9 now.)

I'll PM you a onedrive link.
