17b9 active Videotrackdestination always shows V1

PostSat Feb 13, 2021 3:57 pm

When changing the destination video track from eg. v1 to v4, the highlighted red triangle always shows v1, no matter, which track I select. The deselected track gets correct value, though.

I can't duplicate this in Studio 17b9 for Windows.

Seems to be working correctly using the mouse, menu option, or shortcut.

Well Simon,
I see the the behaviour on two MACs. Seems WinGuys are more on the lucky side.

It's possible. Sometimes an issue only affects one platform.

Do you mean the red rectangle indicating the target track? Works fine here.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

I see that too. May be a bug, or by design. :?:Audio behaves the same way.

Charles Bennett already posted a picture of this odd behaviour.

It's a design feature.

The number inside the box changes to whichever SOURCE track is going to be edited into the selected timeline track.
This is a design feature to avoid the clutter of having source side track selectors like in Avid.

Personally I hate it.

Ahhh, Peter cleared it up. I misunderstood the problem.

Thanks, I didn't know that.
Would you give me a hint, how to change Source video tracks. I don't see them changing neither in Multicamediting nor in Sync Bin. V1 is the only one I've ever noticed.

Multicam editing does not require this function.
I don't use Sync Bin.

I don't imagine any given video clip will ever have more than one video track.

Audio is a different story.
