How do I do audio pitch change during take?

Anyone know if it's possible to do an audio pitch shift during a take? In other words I want the audio to start at 100% then gets slower and slower till it stops.

I tried key frames in the pitch area of the inspector and even though I see the key frames and the sliders moving, the audio, itself didn't do any pitch changing.

I tried the pitch audio effect plug in but I couldn't figure out how to key frame it.

I even tried doing an automation selecting "plugin" as the control but it wouldn't record my twisting the pitch knob.

Has anyone has any luck doing this or found a workaround?

Thanks

when you say 'during a take', you certainly mean real-time pitch shifting. In that case, you would need to insert an effect device or a computer/audio-interface before the camera line input. This is a bit complicated, and a gradual shift is also complicated, because most pitch shifters have digital steps.

If you describe the exact use case, I might be of help. Although I can't promise too much.

I think what he wants to do is to animate the pitch during the duration of a clip. Start at neutral, for example, and have it ramp down to like -24 semitones. But there's no button on Edit Page's Inspector panel to create pitch keyframes.

I'd imagine that this is something you could do easily enough in Fairlight, but my training hasn't taken me there yet...

My first thought is a Speed Ramp, but I've never tested.
