Add Text+-Node showing current Timecode
Hi.
I'm new to Resolve, just started using it about two months ago. Recently upgraded to the Public Beta V17, if that matters for the following. I'm not a professional, just the "normal" Action-Cam-User looking for better ways to generate impressive Footage from hour-long, boring Videos
I have a Question on using Scripts on Nodes in the Fusion-Page of Davinci Resolve:
Is it possible to show the Timecode of the Source File with a Text+-Node?
I can look at the Metadata of the File by clicking on "Metadata" in the top right of the Window. There, I can see the "Start TC", thats the Date my Source File has.
I managed to get the current Frame Number (easy) and the current Frame Rate of the Timeline (took me some time), with this Information, I can calculate the Seconds from beginning of the clip. If I know now the "Start TC" of the Clip as shown in Metadata, I could calculate the "Real Live"-Timecode of each single Frame.
My goal is to do some kind of "Data Driven Overlay", I have a database with Metrics indexed by a Timestamp, which I want to lookup in a script and embed the result by using a "Text+" (or some other) Node.
So, question is: How do i get the Start Timecode of the currently active Clip in the Timeline?
Thanks a lot,
regards
Hans
