New user question about multicam

I am a new user of DaVinci. Let me start by saying I am amazed at how easy it was to get started!

I recorded a family wedding on 4 different model cameras. I have been able to get all 4 in a project, and get three of them (1-3) lined up using a visual and audio clap. I used a dog barking (lol) to get camera 4 synched up.

I am stuck on how to bring them all into Multicam and allow me to cut between angles. I've seen several videos on how to do it with videos that all start at the same time but the left window always remains blank, even after I switch to multicam view. I've attached a screen shot of where I am and would appreciate some help on next steps to be able to switch between all 4 cameras and only use the audio from camera 1 as it is the best quality.

Are you asking for the entire process of how to make the multicam? For that i would for sure read up on it and watch some tutorials. But for a start , go to the name of the timeline you showed and rt click it in the media pool > Click create multicam > make your sync "sound" . angle name camera ,
Then when that opens up in the media pool click on the name of the multicam and hit 'Create new timeline with selected clips"
That's your multicam editing timeline.

But you really need to study up more to get it right. No pain no gain.

Thanks for the help everyone! One thing I left out is that 2 of my video tracks are already composite tracks. I think that might be why it isn't converting to multicam, but I'm not sure. I will try the suggestions posted here and will let you know how it comes out.

I'm not sure what you mean by a composite in this situation (but i'm still a newbie) . However you could always just make a dub of those clips and go down a generation. Its not always catastrophic.

Actually, we made a test with 10 generations of ProRes 422 HQ, and they were pretty hard to tell apart visually.
If you want to be super picky, there is 4444 XQ.
