I was trying to install latest 17 version. By that time I had 16.2.3 version. It was working fine.

I do not know it is it update of resolve or some windows update because although it used to work I did not launch Resolve for half of year.

Anyway after v17 install, resolve opens, then crash after less than one minute. No matter what I do, even if I do nothing, it is not more than 1 minute. First it freeze mouse, then it turns screen black and then comes back but Resolve is white and not responding.

I installed my 16.2.3 back but it was was the same. I downloaded latest v16 but still the same.

I suspect that is because I had Studio version before, and when updated I installed none studio version, because I do not need much Studio features. May be trys to use GPU or something, I do not know.

Is your GPU driver up to date?

When updating from version 16.xxx make sure you make a copy of your database. Version 17.xxx requires a database update which stops it being backwards compatible should you need to go back to 16. On Windows uninstall the earlier version first before installing the new. This step is not needed if you are on a Mac.

Thank you. I did copies and was able to restore. Looks like I have latest GPU. I have Vega M GH on Hades Canyon.

So anyone knows how can use davinci without windows reinstall? I've attached logs.

Don't see anything in your logs which suggests a software issue. Something is wrong with your GPU driver or PC.

I have Intel Hades Canyon NUC. It used to work fine but at some point, it stopped. I do have latest drivers. And I even reinstalled windows and all drivers from scratch. I even updated BIOS and also try to rollback BIOS.

Nothing helps. It always crashes when I open Edit tab. By default, it stays on Cut tab and not crushing. Although I do not work there just keep tab open on empty project.

I am desperate already. I want to purchase new PC, but I already have 1200$ PC. I am very sad.

Please help me. Anyone.

For those who are going to have the same problem on Hades Canyon NUC. It does not work with the latest GPU drivers. You have to downgrade to version 18.**
