How to carry Fusion modifications on timeline (not clips)?
Hello everybody,
I am very new to Resolve, and I just learning on the way.
So, I have this sport footage, neatly cut up where it needs to, and I want to stick the score up in a corner of the screen. I want something very simple: just text on a semitransparent square, staying on for the whole 1 hour video.
I know how to do that in the edit module, adding 2 video tracks, one for the transparent box and one for the text... and it works; but for some reason you probably know better than me, if I do so Resolve starts crunching cpu cycles and goes from 5% cpu to 90% all the time, so I wanted to see if fusion could do the same with less cpu usage.
So, I worked my way up the nodes and built this rectangle -> background merged with text that works perfectly. Except... it stops as soon as I reach the first cut in the footage.
I mean: I positioned the play head in Edit mode where I wanted the scorebox to appear, switched to Fusion module and created the nodes I needed. I even animated it successfully (changing the score when needed), and everything works as I want.
But then, the video comes to a point where I made a cut; the clip changes, in other words, and the fusion overlay disappear. If I switch to the fusion module, there isn't any node (and only the current clip is visible).
Is there any way to work in Fusion on the whole video rather than just on a clip?
Thanks for helping!
