Dissolve effect doesn't work in DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta

Dissolve effect doesn't work in DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta on Linux Ubuntu

Video made from image sequence, but dissolve effect doesn't work. I need a Studio Version?

When you try to add the dissolve the top timeline flashes red at the edit point indicating that there are no handles on the clips so there is nothing that can be dissolved from or to.
make the first clip end shorter, and the second clip start later and apply.
