Best connection M1 Mac Mini to monitor?
I am trying to connect my new M1 Mac MIni to an Eizo CS240 1920x1200 monitor, and need some advice. I had hoped to connect the HDMI port on the Mac Mini to the HDMI port on the monitor, thereby keeping both Thunderbolt ports free. However, when I do this the computer only generates a 1920x1080 signal, leaving black bands at the top and bottom of the monitor. Eizo tech support says that this is a known issue with the M1 Mac Mini, and that in order to get a 1920x1200 signal I MUST use a Thunderbolt port.
So my choices are to connect a Thunderbolt port on the Mac Mini to either the DisplayPort or DVI port on the monitor. Is there any reason to prefer one or the other? So far as Resolve is concerned, will it make any difference? Should there be any difference in color accuracy?
Thanks for any help!
