projects missing after DR15 -> DR17 upgrade

I did the 'backup database' operation as recommended, but I am not sure what the best process is to actually use/import that backed up database into Resolve 17. I'm wondering if it is even possible. Some old projects are actually showing up, but the most recent stuff I was working on is missing.

Perhaps the best process is to uninstall 17, reinstall 15, and then export/save the specific project(s) I'm working on. Then, upgrade to 17 and open those projects? Rather than messing around with the database state.

Is there any other process that might work here? Is there a way to import the database from 15 to 17? (The import wizard on the project management screen failed; if useful I can go back and get the exact error).

i would un install 17 and put 15 back in.
Make sure your project are as you expect. Open and check them.
Then export the v15 DB.
Then import the v15 DB and prove it works. Open and check them.
Then uninstall 15 and install 17.
During when you open the project manager in v17, you will see the two old DB, one original v15 and one restored. Select the restored and upgrade it to v17. do not upgrade the original v15
Open and check the projects.

Forgot to post system info: this is an upgrade from 15 (free version) to Studio 17. Windows 10.

I uninstalled 17, reinstalled 15, and all the old projects listed. The 3 I am concerned with I tested; they loaded up fine. I then did export of the database again and reinstalled 17 and imported/loaded the db file. R17 reports database imported, then immediately throws this error:

Critical Exception

BtException: Driver not loaded Driver not loaded

The application has recovered from the error. It is advisable to save the project and restart the application. Please mail the details of the error to Blackmagic Design, and contact Blackmagic Design Support if the error persists.

If BtException is bluetooth that might make some sense: although bluetooth is available on this mainboard (Asus P9X79 Pro) this PC cannot see the Speed Editor over BT. (I have not yet tested over USB as I do not have a c -> a cable). Maybe incompatible / old driver. Asus does not provide one directly and this is an older board so last official update from them is from 2016. BlueTooth is whatever Microsoft is installing.

Aaron, did you ever find a solution to this project? I'm facing the same error when attempting to open a DR16 database on DR17. (The database loads up fine on another device with DR16).
