Yep, I read the manual, and since I couldn't find what I was looking for, I asked here...but apparently it is not possible to accomplish exactly what I want...: split the current frame in 2 halves (with adjustable wipe), one uncorrected and one showing the effect of the current filter being adjusted.
Dawid's answer is the closest to what I'm looking for (but, unless I missed something, it shows two complete images side-by-side, not a single image split in halves). No big deal it's just one of these numerous little details that require some brain adjustment when switching from another editing system
