I just opened a project I've been working on in Resolve Studio beta 17 and most of my third party audio plugins no longer work. They are listed and can be added to clips and channels. I can edit the settings and they appear to be functioning normally, however they have zero effect on the audio. They were all working fine previously. I tried going back to an earlier beta version to see if updating to 9 had caused the issue, but the issue persists in 7 which I had been using before. I can't seem to figure out what the issue could be. Out of curiosity I tried the same plugins in Logic Pro just to make sure there wasn't something weird happening with them unrelated to Resolve, however they all work as expected in Logic.
I'm on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro on Mac OS 11.2. This is happening both with VST and AU plugins.
More notes on audio plug-ins, in this case on Mac.
First, you can't bring up the controls for AU effects. I applied AUReverb to a track in Fairlight and then clicked on the obscured "controls" icon in the mixer area. Nothing appeared. I then disabled the effect, and the track went totally silent.
I tried Ozone 8 (pretty sure I'm using the VST3 version) and the same did not occur; the controls appeared, and disabling the effect did not disable the channel.
The effects are on clips, not tracks. It appears that only applies to tracks. However, that caused me to try these plugins on tracks and they work there. They're just having no effect when applied to clips. And to reiterate, they were already in place and working for weeks and just suddenly stopped.
