Shortcuts behaviour - Q and timeline select

I have been using the free version of Resolve for quite sometime and I have to say most of the shortcuts are not working as intended in cut page or edit page.

One such thing is the 'Q' shortcut focus issue. If the 'Q' shortcut is used to switch between the source tape and the timeline, the playhead reacts to 'Left' and 'Right' arrow to scrub through the timeline, but 'CTRL+Left', 'CTRL+Right', 'CTRL+Up' and 'CTRL+Down' are not working. The focus to the timeline has to be manually brought by the mouse to the timeline view. This behavior is annoying as most of the time I would be fine in using the mouse to do my scrubbing, longer source tapes are a pain to cut switching between keyboard and the mouse.

Another thing in addition to the aforementioned behavior, 'Shift+V' is working fine to select the clips, however the select shortcuts ('CTRL+Left', 'CTRL+Right', 'CTRL+Up' and 'CTRL+Down') are not working and 'ALT+Up' and 'ALT+Down' to move the clips between tracks are not working. Focus has to be manually brought back to the timeline to make this functionality work.

I'm not sure whether this is an isolated incident for me, but this is seen in versions 16 and 17. Any solution to the problem is much appreciated.

An update to the original problem statement.

In the edit page, when using the 'Q' shortcut to navigate between the source and timeline viewer, it exhibits the same behavior as the cut page, however if 'CTRL+4' is used to select the timeline all other shortcuts for the timeline are working properly. This is not the case with the cut page, the active panel selection is not working in the cut page at all.

I love the concept of cut page to quickly view and perform a initial cut, but it is very linear and more often than not I tend to use the edit page to do the initial cut itself.

IMO the active panel selection should be extended to cut page as well, as the cut page is very good for what it is, but a lack of certain lifestyle improvements is making it very hard to use solely using keyboard shortcuts.

I don't use the Cut page, but on the Edit page, Q will switch between Source and Timeline Viewers.

The timeline panel is separate from the Timeline Viewer, so if you want all timeline shortcuts to work, you do have to make sure that panel is active.

The issue with Edit timeline focus in Windows, when cursor keys are used, has been unresolved, pardon the expression, going back to V12. Some keyboard functions recognize that you're in "Edit", but others (like cursor keys) will remain functional in the panel you just left, until you've activated the timeline, either with a mouse click or with a keyboard panel selection shortcut, like ctrl-4.

If you remap cursor keys to alphanumerics, you can avoid this issue on Windows (it doesn't occur on Mac). I handle it with keyboard macros, using a third-party product, autohotkey.

Can't comment on Cut page performance.
