Panel Object Track Mode Problem

Hello everybody

by now I feel very lonely with this problem. i hope anybody can help...
everybody knows on the advanced panel, if you wanna change the menu of what is shown on the displays you just push the corresponding button. e.g. from PRIMARY to VECTORS, you push on the VECTORS-Button. same with the OBJECT TRACK MODE.

what happens to me, at some point it always gets stuck in OBJECT TRACK MODE. so to change to another menu, i can't just push the other MENU-Button (e.g. PRIMARY). i have to push OBJECT TRACK MODE again to "leave" the OTM-menu and then i can switch.
especially it is not always like that. it can be for half an hour or weeks and suddenly it changes back to normal. and everything is fine. i don't know what happens there, that it suddenly changes during working. i don't change anything in the settings. i think it must be a combination of buttons i hit that it gets stuck in this behaviour.

i know it sounds like a fairly ridiculous problem, but when I need to work fast with the panel it is very annoying when this happens. especially when it changes from one way to the other.

does anybody know that?

Very odd, so when in this mode, selecting windows or sizing on the t-bar panel wont reset the menu?
Which OS, and software version?

No nothing changes it. Only hitting again on the ObjectTrackMode-Button. I have it for years already. So with different Resolve-Versions.
Right now i'm on Linux with Resolve 16.2

Ive not heard of this before.
If that button does not stick on any other soft key actions, please take a phone video of the process.
if it does stick for other actions its likely the button/switch.

sorry for the late response...here is the video.

we have three different panels. I recorded two of them, so you can see at first, how it works normally and then how it shouldn't. have a look at the red labels on the display.

When i shot the video, two of our panels didn't work correctly. and i think, i had the same problem with all of them. as i said before, the problem appears and disappears suddenly. sometimes even while i'm working.

hm attachment doesn't seem to work, so here a youtube-link:

im assuming u are on v16, which OS?

If u are not in tracking mode, do the primary and vector buttons always work as u expect?

Do u think its as though the object tracking mode button is still latching?

when you say three panels, do you mend 3 sets of advanced panels?

and how many show this, consistently or otherwise?

one final thing you can try is v17, and the new advanced panel 2 key layout. Even without the keys you can switch to v2 and back to see if the v2 has a similar 'sticky' issue with these same physical keys.

Given others havent reported this issue, it suggest a sticky button or faulty board in the left hand panel.

If thats the case, you might need to discuss with your local BMD support office on the cost of service.

yes i'm on v16 on linux.

If i'm not in tracking mode the other buttons work perfectly.

About latching: I'm pretty sure it's not a technical/mechanical problem but software.

yeah three sets of different advanced panels. I mostly work on two of them, but I'm pretty sure it happened to me with all of them.

we will change soon to v17, but I have this problem for many versions. so it's not especially v16.
I guess the new advanced panel 2 key layout comes with v17?

I'm pretty sure it's a firmware/software issue. by now i guess it's a combination of buttons i sometimes press or things i do in resolve, what gets the board stuck in this mode. :?
