Davinci resolve crashing on Big Sur 11.2.1

I've been using Davinci resolve successfully for a few weeks on my M1 Macbook Air. Big Sur was recently updated to 11.2.1 and now Resolve keeps crashing almost every time I try to play back video after adding any clips in the timeline.

Anyone else having this issue?

Did you update Resolve too?

Yes. I checked for the latest version and updated it. I have since managed to get things working. It seems that there is a performance change since the lates IOS update. If I add a clip to the timeline I need to wait a short while before trying to play it. I also needed to restart Resolve before I was able to render a video out.

I guess it may all sort itself out in the course of time and at least I can still use it
