Resolve 16 - Fusion Clip as Adjustment Layer

We are currently moving from premiere/ae to resolve/fusion and want to transfer our on air design templates. In Premiere we used AE clips as templates and to darken and blur the underlying video footage we set the AE clip as adjustment layer with blur and brightness effect applied, so all animations are respected.

what would be the proper workflow in resolve/fusion for this.

As a new user, your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly. ;)

well, thank you for your answer. I think my understanding of Fusion is quite proficient because I'm a fusion user for nearly 18 years. Resolve not so much, because I use it for a few months now.

My problem is very specific to adjustment layers, if they are usable in the same way like premieres or better put to apply transparencies / alpha masks to adjustment layers.

I'm looking for a flexible solution without running everthing through fusion with mediaIn nodes.

hope this helps to get further feedback on the topic.

Hence the recommendation. I found the books very helpful, well written with lessons to follow along.
