Media Offline (Timeline playback only) Shows fine in bin

been having several issues which is tending me not to purchase the software, maybe someone can help this frustrated Adobe user with this one.
by end of timeline playback media becomes offline. It is not offline in the bin, relink works but only once then when the track plays through it goes back to offline. Tried starting new timeline with selected bin, no joy.
both the timeline and the clip in the bin scrub as they should with mouse over, but play on the actual timeline, produces off line screen in playback window.
Anyone have this issue and fixed it?
