Just installed v 17 Beta 9. I see the startup screen, then it disappears. All previous betas worked for me.

Console log is https://www. dropbox.com/s/2656ps7sckxli8e/Console%20log%20file%20-%20Roland%20Walter.rtf?dl=0
MacOS 10.15.7
iMac 2013

Did you check the minimum technical requirements? I doubt that the GPU of an iMac from 2013 is adaequate.

No, I have an i7 core, 32 gigs ram, 6 gigs on the graphics card. This machine has worked well until this latest update.

The largest VRAM in that year was 4 GB VRAM.
But since those are Nvidia cards, check the compute capability. You'll need 3.5 for recent versions of Resolve.

You will find the listing of Nvidia cards here that shows their Compute Capability.

My mistake. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 GB. But that meets the minimum requirement, so I don't believe that the computer is the problem. I've used this machine for the past year on v16 and v17 previous betas.

That points at something went wrong during the installation. Check your filesystem with a tool like DiskWarrior, remove DR and install a fresh one.

Your graphics card does not meet the requirements for using CUDA 11 in Resolve 17.xxx. It only has a Compute Capability of 3.0. To use CUDA 11 with Resolve the GPU requires a minimum Compute Capability of 3.5. It also only supports OpenCL 1.1. Resolve requires support for OpenCL 1.2 and or Metal on a Mac.
The requirement to support CUDA 11 came in with Resolve 16.2.7.

Are you using Asus Tweak GPU II?
If I keep this running while starting Davinci Resolve I have the same result (only the splash-screen disappearing, nothing more).
If I end Tweak GPU II I can start DR again with no problem.
