Hey folks! We’re thinking of using an iPhone 12 as a nice ‘behind the scenes’ camera for shoots. However we would have to intercut the iPhone Dolby vision HDR footage with Pocket 4K footage on a rec 709 timeline. The iPhone footage shows up as washed out (I assume because its HDR luminance exceeds that of rec.709, but I actually don’t know from what gamma and color space I have to transform to get this footage into ‘proper’ rec.709. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

It's most likely Rec.2020, HLG.

What are the input gamma and color space assigned in Resolve?

It should be Rec.2020+HLG as iPhone records DolbyVision + HLG as a compatibility layer.
