Import Project from Back-up Drive

PostWed Feb 17, 2021 9:34 pm

Hi All,

I recently migrated from a non-functioning Mac to a new PC and I'm trying to import my old projects from an external drive. The drive is essentially a time machine backup so all the files and folders are intact but I can't for the life of me figure out how to import my previous projects. And no, they weren't already saved as project backups. Help?

Thanks,
ED

Find the database, copy it to a working drive in the PC and connect to it in the database manager.

Or open the Projects folder of the old database. You should see folders will project names, and inside each one a file named "project.db". Copy the folders and paste them into the corresponding folder of the (or a) new database.

I've never done this trick with a Mac to PC migration, but it shouldn't matter -- unless somebody here knows better, in which case we'll all learn.
