After entering activation key, says there was an error

PostThu Feb 18, 2021 6:05 am

Im having a terrible time getting Studio 17 or Studio 17 beta to activate. I purchased the speed editor bundle but after entering my activation key that came in the bundle, it says there is an error and I need to contact blackmagic. After contacting them (4 calls and 2 email correspondence) I was referred here to find resolution. Here is what I've tried--both 5ghz and 2.4 ghz wifi connections on my desktop, tethering my phones hotspot like some people have done and restarted my pc computer multiple times but to no avail. Can someone please help me activate preferably studio 17 beta so I can use the speed editor?

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
