image sequence timecode/frame numbering

PostThu Feb 18, 2021 1:28 pm

is there any automatic way for resolve to read the frame numbers of a sequence and use that for timecode/frame numbering?

currently if I import an exr image sequence: 'test_[0240-0340].exr'

resolve sees the 100 frames as 0-99.

So when using databurn ins, or getting TC to give back to other artists, I don't have access to the actual frame number in the exr sequence, but rather the TRT TC resolve is reading.

I know I can offset the TC on ingest of the image sequence, but when needing to do this for 100s of sequences it's not really feasible. Am I missing a setting somewhere that would do this for me automatically?

Experiment with Project Settings>General Options>Conform Options is all I can think of.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thanks Jim!

General Options - Use timecode - From the source clip frame count

This did exactly what I needed. Cheers.
