Have to force quit DR 17.1 Studio beta 9 when finished
Posted: Thu Feb 18, 2021 9:05 pmNoticed that when I've been using DaVinci Resolve 17.1 Studio beta 9 and close the application, that it'll save the file but the application doesn't completely close.
I have to go into activity monitor, select the now no longer responding application and force close it.
M1 MacBook Air - 8GB, 8 GPU cores, 512GB SSD
Big Sur 11.2.1
OWC Thunderbolt 4 Hub
2TB NVMe SSD in Fledging Shell Thunder (TB3) enclosure
Deactivated license and performed full uninstall and then reinstalled the application in case files not over written from prior beta's. Same results.
Occasionally, but infrequent, application will close when it hits some OpenFX added to the timeline. More frequent if I clear the Render cache, less often after the cache is created again.
Interestingly system resources show less of an impact (less memory pressure for example) that prior versions and the render times is actually increased in measurable amounts.
