Resolve 16 MXF to Media Composer

PostFri Feb 19, 2021 12:52 am

My desired flow is bring BRAW into resolve and color correct and grade. Then take timeline and export AAF to Avid (using 2020.12) then edit and deliver from Media Composer.

What I end up with is 3 MXF files for every clip. 2 small unknown files and the larger DNxHR file.

Everything I have read online and watched online show only single MXF file per source clip in export folder. Why am I getting these extra files. They do not work in Avid Media Folder. Just wondering what setting I am missing.

Thanks in Advance.

I would probably approach this differently.

Instead of an AAF, use the Individual clips Deliver mode, using Source Resolution and Source Name, to create DNx copies for editing in Avid.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Seems more logical and fewer steps. Appreciate the quick reply. Will give that a try.
