Right click on the zipped file and then click Extract All. Select its destination and then click Extract which should work fine.
Before installing the new version uninstall the older version in the Programs and Features section of the Windows Control Panel. Doing this will not erase your current project database, though it does no harm to have a copy of it just in case.
