Messed Up Screen Capture Video import

Hello all!

I've just updated to 16.2.8.005. I started working on a new project in which I use Windows gaming toolbar to capture screen video for an instructional video. The video captures just fine and plays in VLC media player without issue, as seen in this screenshot.

But when I import the video clip into Resolve it goofs up the video, repeating it on the right side and inserting some sort of gobbledegook on the bottom.

Any ideas from anyone?

I always recommend hardware recorders for screen capture you intend to edit. They typically offer editing friendly options like DNx and ProRes, whereas software normally doesn't.

Thanks for the input! I'm not sure what exactly is going on now given the fact that I've done this dozens of times in the past with no issues. I did find a work-around, though. I did the screen recording on a monitor with the same aspect ratio as the video output in resolve and that fixed the issue for me.
