DaVinci Resolve recognizing all inputs of audio interface

I am wondering if there is any way to set up the audio inputs to be able to use all 8 channels of my Focusrite audio interface? When I try to set up the audio inputs in preferences it only lists MADI or Fairlight audio interface and MADI. It only shows my interface in the outs or speaker section. And it only works when I use the first 2 channels of my audio interface. I thought this was like a DAW that would find all the compatible hardware and all channels of it. Any info on this would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately DR does not support asio drivers, which is the universal standard for pro audio on Windows and the format that every DAW uses. Windows system drivers are your only option outside of bespoke Fairlight/madi hardware.

There are multiple threads complaining about this, as well as feature requests for it. Given how it has been studiously ignored by the developers I wouldn't hold my breath! BMD are, at the end of the day, hardware manufacturers. Their motivation is to sell that hardware.

Thanks for the info, I at least know that it wasn't me not knowing how to do it. I appreciate your response. John
