gaps

We know that Resolve can remove all gaps at once, but we need to be able to "add" gaps between every clip at once. That would be great. I know this is not the right place to ask for a feature request...but where do I do that? And thanks ahead of time.

For that, I would hire an assistant editor.

well why don't you hire the assistant editor for me...? Very kind of you.

(better idea! Have Blackmagic add that feature!)

I have to agree with Marc on this one. I'd rather you spent the money than BMD.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

There use to be great extra tool for Edius/Vagas (not sure maybe Resolve now as well).
It allows to write macros which can do automated operations on timelines etc. It's crazy powerful. Such a task would be trivial with it.

Last time I used it was for similar case. I had markers on timeline and at each marker I had to do cut (+ video/audio fades on split points) and add 2 seconds of black to separate parts. It was fairly easy to do and a real pleasure to watch done automatically for 10s of timelines with no time.

Hire junior editor for this? If you are rich or have project with big budget, but even those these days try to avoid any extra costs like this.

In current Resolve you should be able to do it with Python scripting I assume.
